“Mama, I want a snack!” It’s the sentence I hear about 5 times (or more) during the course of the day. It gets my wheels turning every time. If I didn’t care less what my daughter put inside her body this would be a no brainer. But I do care as I’m sure we all do to a certain degree.
With all the exciting firsts happening in Evelyn’s life, the one I was not looking forward to was her first cold. But it’s inevitable. At 8 months Evelyn caught a very bad cold. And I’m not talking just the sniffles but a terrible cough as well. Have you ever heard a baby cough? It’s very scary. Talk about feeling helpless.
If there’s something I’ve learned since becoming a mom is when a fever hits your child try not to panic. Monitor it, but don’t panic. Let their bodies do what it’s suppose to and let that fever kill off as much of the virus as it can. So what do I do when a fever hits my babies? I go into panic mode. Call the doctor. How far is the emergency room mode.
