Sneaky Ice Pops…

Ice pops are a favorite during the hot summer months at our home. Especially for Evelyn, as the poor thing never seems to catch a break when it comes to teething. She loves those cold ice pops to soothe her aching gums.

This is my simple one-two punch recipe. I feel bad calling it a recipe because I’m actually not doing much. With two young kids, it has to be about quick and easy these days.

We are on the west coast at the moment so I like to get my fresh juices from Pressed Juicery . I don’t have the time to make my own fresh juices so Pressed Juicery does the hard work for me. Their Greens 2 is packed with every green imaginable plus an apple that saves the day and makes it sweet, which my kids love.

I fill the mold with the Green Juice. Freeze them and voila! They get to have their ice pop and their greens at the same time. Do I know just how nutritional the green juice is after freezing it? Well, there’s no question that degradation will happen. But what I do know it’s definitely not bad for them.

The one that Evelyn is holding in this picture was Mabel’s but she snagged it from her. I like using this smaller mold  for Evelyn as it’s easier for her to handle.

Finding green juice at your local grocery store seems to be a much easier task these days so give it a try and let me know if the kiddies liked it!

Emma, I like to fill my frozen pop molds with orange juice. Yummy! But I’m no kid…just had a big “zero” birthday a couple of weeks ago. So I hope you’re enjoying these frozen treats along with your girls…and make extra so your hubby won’t feel guilty about snagging a couple for himself!
P.S. I’m 10 years older than BeeDub (but don’t tell anyone) LOL! Wishing you guys a great summer! Hoping to see both Rumer and B make their Broadway debuts in the Big Apple! Love from Connecticut, RK

Hi Emma – hows things? We love ice pops in our house (we call them icy poles) and my little man makes such a mess that I give them to him in the bath as a treat! And then he can make as much mess as he likes and it all goes down the plug hole! We’ve tried frozen orange juice before but not really apples or anything green but I really like the sound of it – not just for him but me too 🙂
Hope all is well on your side of the globe
