The Sensible Shoe…

Before having kids, getting dressed up for an evening on the town and pairing the outfit up with heels was never a question. The thought of going sans heels would have seemed, well, just plain weird. Cut to me with kids and having to wear heels these days is less and less appealing. After a long day of “mamahood”, I want to put my feet up, not in 4-inch heels!

The beauty is, that there are so many flat shoe options I’m loving these days that are still elegant, fabulous looking and yet over-all comfortable. As my husband would say they’re, “my sensible shoes”.

Here are a few of my picks that will make you feel totally cool about hanging up your heels and opting for flats for your evening on the town:

No doubt they are. I’ve yet to find an inexpensive shoe that haven’t jacked up my feet! Do you know of any? Pass it on!! xxxx

Agree that I love flats but I don’t have your height so at 5 foot 2 I do end up wearing heels for a night out.
During the day at work or with kids though it is almost always flats.

Hi Emma,
Love your reading your blog updates and also the style files. Do you have any recommendations on sneakers for mamas? Ones that look stylish are still comfy but look appropriate. Thank you.
