A Healthy Glow

Highlighting is still the preferred choice for that healthy-looking glow. I’ve taken it off my daily make-up routine and have taken a different path with even better results!

We just came back from our New Year’s holiday in the sun. I had a nice healthy glow, but it is quickly disappearing right before my very eyes! This cold, dry, east coast weather can suck all the life out of your skin and your entire being, for that matter. So, instead of just focusing on highlighting my cheek bones, bridge of my nose blah, blah, blah, I’m going a step further in order to keep my holiday glow—I’m highlighting my whole face. Yes, I know it sounds a bit OTT, but an illuminating moisturizer (or Glotions they’re called) is so subtle, it works brilliantly! What’s great about this product is that when I sprint out of bed in the morning to get myself ready to get the kids to school, I just wash my face and add this moisturizer all over and it gives me the lift I need without having to apply a stitch of make-up .

I have two on rotation at the moment. My Peter Thomas Roth 24k Gold lift and firm prism cream that I add into my daily moisturizer. This one is no joke. A little goes a long way and it’s brilliant. For a lighter boost, my  Bliss triple oxygen radiant protection energizing serum  does the trick too. They make your skin look ethereal and not sparkly like highlighter sticks tend to do.

Here are some other terrific “Glotions” to check out:
