Here we are! The beginning of another school year. Summer has come and basically gone already!
We are still in preschool mode chez the Willises, so I’m a newcomer who is very excited and emotional about the whole thing. I’ll be the mom shedding tears as I drop BOTH girls off at preschool. I can’t believe Evelyn is on her way. She’s so excited because she wants to do whatever big sister Mabel is doing. Mabel loves going to school and Evelyn wants to follow suit. Very lucky for me!
Last week I wrote about getting our minds right to ease ourselves and kids back into the new school year. Now let’s tackle my back to school must have list:
Mabel’s Labels : I’m an organizer and love labels. These labels are great for shoes and clothing. There are also tags for backpacks and lunch boxes so nothing goes missing during the school year.
Reusable snack bags : I love these reusable snack bags from Bumkins instead of using countless plastic Ziplocs in the girls’ lunch boxes. Save the environment!
Lunch boxes: I’ve never been a fan of themed anything but my kids are! They went nuts for these Dory and Paw Patrol lunch boxes from Target.
Rockets of Awesome : This is a new and easy way to shop for back-to-school and throughout the year. Put in your child’s likes and dislikes for their taste in clothing and Rockets of Awesome will do the rest. They will send you 12 items four times a year. It’s that easy and the clothes are CUTE!
Let’s tackle my back to school must have list..
Backpacks: Minimode and State Bags have teamed up to launch these two very hip backpacks . Check this one as well! For every backpack bought, one will be hand-delivered to an American child in need. We’ll take two!
Yoobi water bottle: These water bottles are adorable but what I love about Yoobi is that they give back. They have loads of great back-to-school supplies, from colorful notebooks to pens, so check out their website . Remember, every time you buy, they give back to a US school in need.
Shoes: How about these cute unisex shoes from Native ? or these adorable Tom’s ?
Birdie’s First Day of School : There is always a copy of this book lying around in our household and has now been turned into a tradition where we’ll read from it the night before the kids’ first day of school.
Best of luck to the kiddies and to you with back-to-school! Any cute finds for the new school year?
