Bath Time Potion…

I don’t know about you but sometimes I have a heck of a time luring Mabel to her bath in the evenings. I’m sure it’s a phase (as most things are) but geez zzz. Once she’s in there, she doesn’t want to get out! Thanks to some of the bath time fun I have on rotation. Let’s not forget I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to activities for the tub . Now you know why! So this mama, who always has to be 5 steps ahead of my brood, has some tricks up her sleeves. One being I zen the space out prior with lavender in their tub . A calming atmosphere is never wrong! Another is activities. I written about making your own bathtub paint before–that one is still a winner but right now the one in poll position is potions. All I have to say to Mabel is let’s go make some potions, her eyes light up and game on. Hey, whatever it takes.

Now this is nothing extravagant. At the end of your long day, the last thing you need is Another thing on your to-do list. If this will help get your kids in the tub, use it!

Right now, the one that's in poll position are potions...

Here’s What You’ll Need

Shaving cream NOT GEL

Food Coloring

Small bowls. I use our reusable snack bowls .

Spoon

I keep all these items in the girls bathroom—so I’m not running around last minute trying to throw it all together.

Add two drops of food coloring in each bowl. Because we have multicolored bowls, I’ll add a few drops of red food coloring to the red bowl and so on. Most likely that’s just my OCD coming out to say hi :/ Then add a nice generous size of shaving cream on top of it.

Stir et Voilà

Throw some paintbrushes in with them. My girls will paint each other and the tub. Or they just love getting their hands right in there.

Have you had issues with your kids not wanting to get in the bath? Do you have ways to lure them in?

Sounds like bath time is fun time in the Willis house; I can almost see the smiles and hear the giggles. I love reading about all the special things you guys do together and as the girls grow, they’ll have lots and lots of great memories of their wonderful parents and their great childhood!
